Are you good at giving gifts?
I think I’m okay at giving gifts. I usually try to pick something the person will use or like. Sometimes I’m not very original and I end up buying something simple, but people seem happy.
Yes, I enjoy giving gifts and I try to make them personal. I pay attention to what someone likes and what would actually be useful to them, and I often add a small personal touch like a handwritten note or nice wrapping. It makes the whole thing feel more thoughtful.
When do you usually give gifts to others?
I give gifts mostly on birthdays and at Christmas. I also give presents at weddings or when someone moves house. Occasionally I give a small gift just because.
I usually give gifts for traditional occasions like birthdays, Christmas and weddings, but I also like to give something ‘just because’ now and then. For example, if a friend starts a new job or has a baby I’ll get a small gift to mark the milestone.
What do you consider when choosing a gift?
When I choose a gift I think about what the person likes and my budget. I always try not to buy something they already have. Practical things are good.
I consider the recipient’s tastes, my relationship with them and how practical the gift will be. I also think about whether it’s something they’ll keep for a long time or just use once, and I try to add a small personal detail to show I’ve thought about them.
Have you ever given others a handmade gift?
Yes, I have. A few times I’ve made cards or baked a cake for friends. They liked it, and it felt nice to give something I made myself.
Definitely. Once I made a photo album for my sister’s birthday with pictures from our childhood and short captions. It took a few evenings to put together, but she cried when she saw it and said it meant more than any shop-bought present.
Do expensive gifts better express your feelings?
I don’t think expensive gifts are always better. Sometimes a cheap but thoughtful present can show your feelings more. Expensive things can be nice, but they don’t always mean more.
Not necessarily. Expensive gifts can signal commitment or celebrate something big, but they don’t automatically express deeper feelings. Often a well-chosen, meaningful gift — or something you’ve made yourself — says more because it shows thought and effort rather than money.

禮品實踐常見問題解答
對於第 1 部分中的“禮物”,我的答案應該有多長?
目標是直接回答加上原因或細節,通常是兩到四句話。當想法完成時就停止,而不是強制固定字數。
