Parte 2: Respuesta modelo

Part 2 cue-card response

Modelo de banda 6

The happy person I know is my aunt Lucy. She lives nearby and works as a florist. She is friendly and always smiling. She shows happiness by talking to customers in a warm way and by making bright flower arrangements. Sometimes she sings while she works and gives free flowers to people who look sad. I think she is happy because she enjoys her job and has good friends. She often tells stories about her walks in the park and seems calm. Even when things go wrong in the shop she stays cheerful. That is why I believe she is a happy person.

Nota sobre los criterios de expresión oral: Band 6 is simple and direct with short sentences and repetition. Band 7 develops each bullet with extra detail and a concrete example, wider vocabulary and clearer cohesion. Band 8 is more precise and reflective, showing nuance about causes of happiness and uses controlled complex structures.

Parte 3: Respuestas modelo

Should teachers know what children are doing all the time?

Modelo de banda 6

Not all the time, no. Teachers can't watch every child every minute, especially in big schools. But they should supervise during lessons and playtimes and notice signs of trouble. It's about balancing keeping children safe and giving them some freedom to learn.

Nota sobre los criterios de expresión oral: Band 6 gives a basic opinion with simple language. Band 7 expands with examples and reasons. Band 8 balances practical systems and developmental principles, using precise vocabulary and complex sentences.

Do you think teachers are able to spot the unhappy children?

Modelo de banda 6

Sometimes teachers can tell when a child is unhappy — they might look sad or stop talking. But not always, because some children hide their feelings. Teachers try to watch for changes in behaviour and ask parents for help.

Nota sobre los criterios de expresión oral: Band 6 notes observable signs simply. Band 7 adds nuance and practical measures. Band 8 identifies limits to detection and suggests training and systems for early intervention.

How can the arts spread positive emotions in society?

Modelo de banda 6

Arts like music, dance and painting make people feel happy. Community events, concerts and shows bring people together and lift spirits. Even a colourful mural can make a street look nicer.

Nota sobre los criterios de expresión oral: Band 6 states obvious effects. Band 7 explains mechanisms and gives an example. Band 8 analyses social impact, uses advanced vocabulary and concrete illustrations.

When do you think people are happiest?

Modelo de banda 6

People are often happiest when they're with friends or family, or when they do things they enjoy. Small moments, like a nice meal or a sunny day, can make people happy.

Nota sobre los criterios de expresión oral: Band 6 gives straightforward examples. Band 7 balances life events and routines with connective language. Band 8 frames happiness in terms of needs, purpose and sustained wellbeing, using abstract nouns and contrast.

What would make a student happy at school?

Modelo de banda 6

A student is happy when lessons are fun and friendly teachers help them. Having friends, interesting activities and feeling safe at school makes students happy.

Nota sobre los criterios de expresión oral: Band 6 lists basic factors. Band 7 widens with examples and cause-effect. Band 8 uses psychological concepts (competence, relatedness, autonomy) and links policy to outcomes.

Do you think doing a job that you like is more important than other things?

Modelo de banda 6

Yes, I think liking your job is important because you spend a lot of time working. But money and family are also important, so it's not the only thing.

Nota sobre los criterios de expresión oral: Band 6 gives a simple balanced view. Band 7 weighs importance and other factors with examples of trade-offs. Band 8 situates job satisfaction within broader life pillars and stresses the need for adequate pay and time, with precise language.
