Are you good at memorising things?
I’m OK at memorising some things, like faces and places, but I find numbers and dates harder. I usually repeat things to myself or write them down. If it’s really important I put a note on my phone so I don’t forget.
I’m reasonably good at memorising things that I find interesting or that I practise regularly, such as names or routes. However, my short-term memory for random numbers or long lists is weaker, so I rely on techniques like jotting things down, using my phone’s calendar and repeating items aloud until they stick in my mind.
Have you ever forgotten something important?
Yes, I have. Once I forgot a dentist appointment because I thought it was next week. I felt bad and had to make a new booking. After that I started setting reminders on my phone.
Yes — a while ago I missed an important work meeting because the time completely slipped my mind. It was awkward and I had to catch up afterwards, so I learned to set at least two reminders and to check my diary each morning. That experience really changed how organised I am now.
What do you need to remember in your daily life?
In daily life I need to remember my keys, phone, work tasks and appointments. I also try to remember to pay bills and buy food. If I forget one thing it can make the day more difficult.
Everyday I need to remember a mix of practical things — keys, phone, appointments and deadlines — plus small routines like taking medication or paying bills on time. I try to keep a simple to-do list so I can prioritise tasks and avoid getting overwhelmed.
How do you remember important things?
I usually write things down or set phone alarms. For daily tasks I make a checklist. Repeating things in my head also helps sometimes.
I use a few methods: a digital calendar with alerts for important dates, short to-do lists for each day and visual cues like leaving things by the door. I also use simple memory tricks — for example grouping related items together — and I build habits so I don’t rely on memory alone.

語彙に焦点を当てる
模範解答で既に示されている有用な文言には次のようなものがあります。 jotting down, stick in my mind, short-term memory, slipped my mind, set reminders, catch up, prioritise, to-do list。意味と自然な単語のパートナーシップを学び、スクリプトを完全にコピーするのではなく、それぞれの項目を別の回答に使用します。
避けるべきよくある間違い
- 質問に対して部分的にしか答えていない、暗記した回答をする。
- 意味やコロケーションを確認せずに、難しい語彙を追加する。
- エラーが発生するたびに、簡単に修正して続行するのではなく、再起動します。
- 自分の最初の解答を記録する前に、模範解答を読んでください。
記憶力の練習に関するよくある質問
パート 1 の「記憶」についての回答はどのくらいの長さにすればよいですか?
直接的な回答と理由または詳細を、通常は 2 ~ 4 文で回答することを目指します。固定語数を強制するのではなく、アイデアが完成したら停止します。
記憶モデルの答えを暗記する必要がありますか?
いいえ。それらを使用して構造と言語に気づき、自分の経験から答えてください。暗記した言葉遣いは、試験官が質問を変えると失敗する可能性があります。
トピックに関する経験がない場合はどうすればよいですか?
