Do you like shopping?
Yes, I do like shopping, but it depends. I enjoy buying clothes and things for my flat. Sometimes I go to the mall with friends and it’s fun. Other times I prefer shopping online because it’s quick and easy. I don’t always enjoy crowded shops.
Generally I enjoy shopping, though it depends what I need. I like browsing independent shops and markets because you can find interesting things and it feels more personal. I also shop online for convenience, especially when I’m short of time, but I don’t enjoy busy shopping centres at the weekend — they can be overwhelming. Overall, I see shopping as a mix of pleasure and practical necessity.
Do you compare prices when you shop? Why?
Yes, I usually compare prices, especially for big things. I check a couple of shops or look online. If something is much cheaper, I will buy it there. It saves money and feels sensible.
Yes, I tend to compare prices quite carefully, particularly for expensive items like electronics or furniture. I use a few comparison websites and check delivery costs and warranties as well, because the cheapest headline price isn’t always the best deal. For routine purchases I’ll be less thorough, but for bigger spends I always shop around.
Is it difficult for you to make choices when you shop?
Sometimes it is hard to choose. There are many options and I get stuck looking at them. For small things I decide quickly, but for clothes or a new phone I take time and ask friends.
I don’t usually find it too difficult, but I can suffer from decision fatigue if there are too many options. I tend to narrow things down by thinking about what I really need, checking reviews and then weighing up price against quality. If I’m still unsure I’ll sleep on it or ask someone whose taste I trust.
Do you think expensive products are always better than cheaper ones?
No, expensive things are not always better. Sometimes they are better quality, but other times you pay more for the brand. I think it depends. I try to find good quality at a fair price.
Not necessarily. Higher price often reflects better materials or after-sales service, but there’s also a lot of marketing and brand premium involved. I look at cost per use and construction — for example, a well-made pair of shoes can be worth a higher price because they last longer. Conversely, some gadgets lose value quickly, so paying more doesn’t guarantee better long-term value.

对于第 1 部分中的购物,我的答案应该有多长?
